Via Screencrave, have just seen a trailer for the new film ‘Bart Got a Room’, (see trailer below – warning, for those who are sensitive to incorrect aspect ratios = this is especially bad – it’s like hearing an instrument out of tune – but not out of tune enough to be interesting).
The film itself seems fine, in a kind of indie film aesthetic kind of way, (am not sure what plug-in that is in Final Cut Pro, it’s getting a lot of use – and anyway you can never trust a trailer), but what interests me really here is William H. Macy’s hair.
If the film is even half-way good, (and mind you – I really don’t ever need to see another pic in which ‘old people’ say something sexually outrageous at a dinner table), then this ‘hair-style’ can be the Friendo of 2009.
Really? I think it looks seamless. It actually works with his face. This looks like a very new and interesting character for Macy, I'm surprised you feel that way. And yes, the film looks hilarious! “Bart Got A Room” comes out in a few months and I'm dying to see it. Wasn't able to get to any of the film fests. Here I come, Bart.
Hmm…maybe I didn't make my post very clear :)
I didn't think there was any technical problem with Javier Bardem's hair – just that it's outrageous confidence, the thrusting bad taste, made it a landmark in contemporary film styling –
and i feel the same way about Macy's Fro, or Mo as I'll call it now…or Fracy?
I declare it now: I will not be watching this film. Ever.
Following in the TFT tradition of giving good copy to films unseen, here's my one:
Bart Got a Room: William H.Macy is the embarrassing parent this time!!!
I agree with you.
If you told me that the above screengrab of William H. Macy was the primary character in another movie, I would 100% go see it.
After seeing the trailer, I feel like this secondary role was one that Eugene Levy turned down – tho' I realize trailers can be misleading!
