Oh Lord I can’t wait for the William Friedkin tribute this Saturday at the Seattle International Film Festival. Having only just seen THE EXORCIST for the first time, (I know, I know), but having been an admirer for some time of both SORCERER and the astonishing CRUISING, (forerunner of IRREVERSIBLE?), I trust this evening will be a treat for me.
The tribute includes a Friedkin filmography clip tribute, the great man there for an opening interview where he’ll receive the SIFF Lifetime Achievement Award, the West Coast premiere of KILLER JOE and then a Q and A. If that’s not a decent night of cinema for you then we must never speak again.
