A friend in the business sent me this framegrab from a Warner Brother’s Press Release site, (click on the image for larger version), – looks like it accidentally went live a week early.
As to the content…well…I’m not surprised.

Ah – that's just utterly ridiculous!!
What's next? Let's remake 2001 so that it'll appeal to the pre-teen market, and while we're at it let's do the Godfather with a teenaged cast – call it High School Musical 4: Beyond Graduation.
Ahh…come on, am sure Josh will make a great Doc Manhattan! ;)
Yeah right. That is a joke. “feel good Watchmen just the ticket”, “even Alan Moore .. will have a smile on his face.”
I don't believe a word of it. :p
hmm….not so sure, could be real.
i'm so stoked about THIS remake at least! i mean, edward AND the jonas brothers! cant it BE more perfect???
Maybe one of the middle-Jonas can be Rorschach.

The only thing better will be “Watchmen: The Broadway Experience,” which is rumored to star hugh jackman as Manhattan
Idea for Thoughtful 'Watchmen' Remake
The Scene: Switzerland, 1923
The Venue: An old creaky church, in which three piece be-suited nerdy men gather to discuss the danger they face
The Plot: Who is Killing the Great Horologists of Europe?
The Saviours: The nerdy men band together, for it is only they can save themselves. They are thoughtful men, with different skills – some work on the big hand, some on the small, some on the windup mechanism; but in order to maintain group cohesion, the team needs a name. They are … the Watchmen.
I would see that film.
I also want see 'Watchmen' as enacted by grade-schoolers who've only ever seen the trailers for 'Watchmen' –
actually – you know that 'Star Wars' vids that made the round a few weeks ago = the friend who had never seen Star Wars and then described it from the bits and pieces she'd picked up over the years? I wanna see one of those for Watchmen.

its a fake. I would 100% of believed it but the joke is taken too far with the mention of the Jonas Brothers. I garantue it.
Chris
yes, am sure it's tongue in cheek chrisError – i would argue that the 'jonas brothers' bit was inserted so that people wouldn't take it seriously :)

Please, it's such an obvious fake.
of course :) hence the Jonas Bros. etc!
This post is a practical joke of twisted genius; the only way it could have been funnier is if they'd cast Jason Mewes as Rorschach.
This has GOT to be fake.
You're right Marilyn, am sure they'll wait at least till 2013 for the 'reboot'! ;)
LOL!
