Just got done listening to this show… and I'm flattered for the shout out about Memphis Calling! I'm glad that Jett enjoyed it and that it had an unforeseen impact on his life. I hope others get a chance to view it because I think its a very interesting little film and as you discussed on your show centers on an important topic: taking care of one another, even if they are strangers.
By the way, its Nole as in Noel Gallagher of Oasis or the infamous grassy knoll and I am a male.

+ Slumdog is feelgood + horrible torture scenes + beautiful shots of slums + colour + light + that song from Pineapple Express – it's old fashioned and it'll probably win Best Picture of the Year at the Oscars.
I may have heard you wrong, but imdb doesn't list Karl Urban in Outlander. Maybe he's uncredited (?)
Anyway, the point of my post… but first, congratulations on a great site and podcast, etc. I've only discovered it recently, but well done.
And now, my main point… Slumdog Millionaire is complete pap. I can't believe how much praise this derivative, cynical, characterless creation is getting. I go into more detail on my own non-blog http://www.stanleyrumm.com/?p=317 but suffice to say I'll have to agree to disagree with you and the rest of the world. One day you'll all wake up and see it for the tosh it is -just like the world now realises how mislead it was by films like Titanic, Shakespeare in Love, A Beautiful Mind and Gladiator winning Best Picture at the Oscars. Is there anyone alive who can argue these films deserved that credit? And yet, they swept through on a kind of blind triumphant glorious swell at the time. Please don't let it happen again. I couldn't take it (cap'n)
