Both movies in my opinion emphasize a lot of what's wrong with this country – it's the “I'm-right-and-you're-stupid-to-think-any-differently” behavior.

Lots of interesting points raised. As an outsider to the USA I don't really feel it's my place to give comment, but I agree with a great deal of what was said by our dear presenters.

Given it's subject matter I was wondering whether American Carol will actually be released here in England, not I that wish to see it (thank you for the service guys).

Was very glad to hear that I'm not the only person to suffer from the magpie syndrome when spotting shelves of DVDs, Gareth – I even do this at home, how sad! But you were right about the memories that comfort us in these chaotic times, I was moved by that.

Both of you are made of sterner stuff! i don't think i could've made it thru An American Carol and don't ever intend to (no matter how much i'm trying to have an open mind:P ) This is why the Film Talk is great, you guys watch the movies, so we don't have to!

As far as Religulous, i'm agnostic, but bill maher dated ann coulter. It's my own personal hangup, probably has no bearing on the actual filmaking, but I CAN'T GET PASSED THAT!!
