  1. Phil says:

I am kicking myself right now.

My wife and I were going to the Tara Cinema in Atlanta last night, either to see “Evening Sun” or “Crazy Heart”. We were late for “Evening Sun” because the place was jam packed and we could not find parking, so we saw “Crazy Heart” (liked it).

As we were leaving, we noticed in the “Evening Sun” theater there was some kind of Q&A going on, but I couldn't tell what or who it was. Then this morning I read that Teems and Ray McKinnon were there for the screening.

Oh well – I'll settle for listening to your interview (which I'm sure is good).

  2. Jett Loe says:

    Too bad :(

of course you can go back and listen our McKinnon interview again! ;)

  3. Phil says:

What I need to do is go back and listen to the Walton Goggins interview, which I have not done.

I like the new listening “applet” (is that a correct use of the word? I'm not an apple user) you've installed – allows me to peruse the main page while listening – and wow, “Capricorn One”…I saw it when I was a kid and never thought of it again. Hal Holbrook, OJ Simpson, Telly Savales, and Elliot Gould in the same film?? Did I really see that?

  4. Jett Loe says:

Yes, you did see it my friend!

+ glad you like the new podcast player – you notice you can actually listen to all the back episodes by clicking on the Info icon? Pretty cool!

But not as cool as our new iPhone App! (and Touch as well). Yeah, we're getting all 21st Century up in here.

  5. Jett Loe says:

and of course now i've had to remove our new player as it's a bit temperamental! hopefully it'll be back up soon!

  6. Tom says:

Ok, so this new page format – where's the button I used to press so that I could download the podcast? Help!

  7. Jett Loe says:

Does the Flash Player show up for you Tom = do you see the big square with Hal Holbrook's face? If so you just click on the Info button, (on the right) – there you have lots of options = you can listen to past show instantly, embed the video in your own site, mail a link – and download it.

If the Player is not showing up look at the bottom of the post where I've provided a link for those who don't have flash installed, (like iPods/iTouch/iPad etc.)

  8. Phil says:

Clarification – you have to hit the “play” button for the “i” (info) button to show up.

  9. Tom says:

I've got a mac, but I'm not using an itunes compatible mp3 player. When I click on the download button it just brings up a new window and starts playing the episode. Help – again!

  10. Jett Loe says:

Hey Tom – 'right click' on the link that says “If the media player above is not working for you click here” and you'll be able to download the ep :)

what i'll do going forward is make that link a big button so people who don't have flash installed, (iphones etc.), or don't use itunes, will be able to access it right away.

  11. Tom says:

Many thanks Jett (and Phil). That's worked a treat.

  13. [...] If you’re in Kansas City this weekend (and believe me, we know you’re there, KC listeners), you could do worse than heading over to the delightful and character-filled Tivoli Theatre (where once I was introduced to the amazements of Bertolucci’s ‘Stealing Beauty’ and Schnabel’s ‘Basquiat’) to see the magnificent Hal Holbrook in Scott Teems’ slow-burning ‘That Evening Sun’, which we reveled over in Episode 108 [...]
