What is TFT +?, I hear you calling…

After almost three years of hosting The Film Talk as a labor of love, the time has come when we need to find ways of funding the site, and you may have noticed that we’re experimenting with a new form for the podcast.

It’s pretty expensive to do this work, and we’ve invested a fair amount of our own money to get us this far.  We really do want to keep the podcast available for free, and so have decided to inaugurate TFT +, which will be available alongside new episodes every week.

In short, our regular podcast will still be available for free, but in addition we will have more content available in the form of TFT+ for the small fee of one dollar. It’ll be like getting a whole extra episode of TFT.  On TFT+, we’ll talk about the film(s) we’re reviewing in any given week, but also have more space to wax on about whatever conversations are happening on the blog, classic films we’ve been re-visiting, and to respond to correspondence from you, The Listener.

You can always support the site by clicking on the donation icon, but we’d like to give you something in return. We’re offering TFT+ as an experiment as we are trying to find the best way to resource the site. We can promise this: TFT+ will have more than a dollar’s worth of content! So, if you want to help TFT continue to provide you with a combination of thoughtful reviews, amusing banter, and the interplay between your two hopefully lovable co-hosts, please do consider purchasing the TFT+ inaugural episode:

The Film Talk – Part 65 – Star Trek

Thanks!

Sort of like attending the “after party”…and at a reasonable cover charge!

Something that I'd like to suggest – as either being willing to pay money for, or just as a great bonus – would be for access to the older TFT episodes. Greedily speaking, I'm very interested in hearing what you guys thought of THE PRESTIGE, CHILDREN OF MEN and there's a couple of others too, but those were the movies of 2006 that I loved the most (the former was my favorite – and much like THE DARK KNIGHT – I saw in the theater four times; and the latter I think was the best movie of 2006.).

Any chance of that being a possibility?
