Francis Ford Coppola’s ‘Tetro’ starts today at the Belcourt.
Normally when I watch a good film I get excited thinking about how I’ll discuss it on The Show – after watching ‘Tetro’, instead of writing notes for the Show re: what I had to say about the film, I picked up a camera and shot a short pic.
That’s how inspiring it is – rather than making you want to talk about movies it makes you want to make one.
See it on the big screen if you can.

Aw man. That's inspiring and completely amazing. I've mentioned it before – mostly through Twitter, I believe – that I cannot wait to see this film. I love seeing the heart and emotion that Coppola has put into his last movie – Youth Without Youth – and seemingly (hopefully) in TETRO, as well.
not to mention the fact of seeing him – and Clint Eastwood, to a lesser extent – being at the age they are and creating probably some of the strongest work of their careers. How many other directors have been able to achieve that? Two, maybe three?
(I'm holding out hope that I get to see TETRO on a big screen…seeming less likely though. Maybe I should travel down to Tennessee.) :)
Can't wait for Monday's show! I loved Tetro too – such a breath of fresh air. I agree it's worth a trip to see it on the big screen…
You can always crash on 'The Film Talk couch' if ya need to come down here John! :)
Am afraid it'll be uploaded on Tuesday afternoon instead of Monday – but it's worth the wati! ;)
