Special thanks to TFT listener Jeff Draughon for mocking up the above poster; reflecting as it does the good Professor Dr.’s opinion on SEX AND THE CITY 2.
As for myself, I finally did break down and see it – we review it in our latest Member Bonus Show – so I imagine those of you reading this already know what I think.

I'm in awe. I once pasted a picture of a little ducky on construction paper.
Well Gareth should be flattered is all I have to say – that and they should use the quote in the DVD release, (and include our review in the disc extras!)

I haven't seen the above film and never ever will, but I can say with absolute certainty that I'm in complete agreement with Mark Kermode's view of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHeQeHstrsc
Personally, I think the studio should pay you guys to do an audio commentary track for the DVD/blu-ray. Your show could (undoubtedly) use the money … and they could use a detailed defense of the film.
I've enjoyed watching Mark Kermode in the past, (we even posted his Transformers 2 review here on the site), but in regards to SATC2 he's just wrong.
He starts off by making a flippant comment re: the length of the film, that 2001 went from the birth of mankind to meeting extraterrestrials in the same time and what does SATC2 do in the same time, etc.? Well that's non-sensical – you could say that about any picture = in Jaws they only fight a fish, whereas in 2001 we go from the birth of mankind to…. etc.
He then goes on to completely misunderstand the picture – it seems he, like other critics is so blinded by a preconceived frame of what they think the picture is/who these characters are that they completely don't see what's in front of their face = in the Members Bonus episode i highlighted this fact with the “$22,000 hotel room” story in which a larger number of reviewers completely inverted the meaning of a scene.
sigh.
ok am done now.
I think you're on to something here – we should start a campaign!
Yeah! You two could be the new Paul Ross!
:)
well…let's not go overboard here.
Best. Movie. Poster. Ever.
