Hey there Dear Listener – FYI: Tomorrow’s podcast will be a Stanley Kubrick retrospective, marking 10 years since his passing. Gareth and I will each take one scene from a Kubrick film and discuss. Any aspects of the man’s work you’d like us investigate let us know and we’ll work it in if we have time.

Maybe something on the films that never were -Aryan Papers, Napolean, AI (hurr hurr).
There's an interesting-looking exhibition on Aryan Papers in London, as you probably know http://www.animateprojects.org/films/by_date/20…
Whatever you talk about, I hope you give a little rant at Barry Lyndon's exclusion from the most recent over-hauls. Now that's a film I *would* re-re-re-re-buy -if they did a good enough job, which I'm sure they would. And yes, it needs to be bought.
That's an idea – probably too heavy-duty to fit into tomorrow's show, and yeah we mentioned it:

would love to see the show! :) (have always appreciated the Wilson Sisters' work)
This may be an obvious question. Did Kubrick's own unwavering perfectionism, doom him to a less than prolific output in his lifetime?
Yeah, 'Stanley Kubrick's Boxes' is a fascinating little doc – I recommend it as well for any fan of the man's work.
And yeah, he made fewer films – but doom is a harsh word – it's the way he worked. :)
Maybe you could discuss how Kubrick might have adapted Watchmen (?) :)
He would probably have annoyed all the fans by making something completely different, but yet coming out with an actual top-notch film.
I don't think there's room for much, if any of the backstory in a movie. It should have been a mini-series or a movie that didn't bother explaining its past. From what I've seen of Ozymandias in the Zackmovie he definitely seems like the weakest link (much as I hate to point a finger).
Re: Ozymandias, yeah he does seem weak but I'll reserve judgment till i've seen the pic ;)
+ for logistical reasons we've had to push back the Kubrick ep till next week – so we'll have the Watchmen ep this Sunday – and yeah, Kubrick would have done something interesting all right…tom cruise as Ozymandias – now that would have been something.
