Yep it’s not just the White House that’s blogging now. Nashville Film Festival, (April 16th-23rd), Artistic Director Brian Owens is now posting on a regular basis:
Dispatches from An Artisic Director
It’s great seeing the enthusiasm and positivity on Brian’s blog. Doing a show like TFT requires watching a lot of mainstream fare, which means sitting through a lot of bad pictures; you spend a lot of time tearing films down – which, while it can be fun in a snarky kind of way, can be spiritually tiring. Who wants to be critical all the time?
So it’s great to be able to go to a film festival which is, after all, a celebration – if, like many of our listeners, you’re in Nashville’s sister-city Belfast and can’t make it to the fest, you can at least get a little of the flavour of it on Brian’s blog.
Plus he’s got good taste, (meaning we have similar opinions on some things! ;) He’s absolutely right about Viola Davis:

Am also chuffed that the new logo for the film fest was designed by my buddy Tara Jo Kirk – way to go Tara Jo!
