An interesting experiment in the fast fusion of film-making and music, Nashville 9, is premiering tomorrow night at the Belcourt as a benefit for ‘The Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee’:
The Nashville 9 Premiere & Performance Event
It’s an ambitious idea, (see work-flow diagram below), and I have no idea if they’ve pulled it off – but ya gotta give them marks for trying!
The evening kicks off this Thursday, March 19th, at 6:45pm and will include the finished short film ‘Nashville 9′ and performances by a sampling of the musicians involved.
I love this idea of integrating different forms; different media cross-pollinating each other – one can imagine an expanded form of the concept, (including interactive storytelling/games etc.), being perfect to both launch festivals and document them over their run!
